CARPETS: -
At Richardson’s we offer a free measuring and planning service. Ticket prices are based on fitting the flooring in an empty room. Additional services, such as moving furniture, cutting of doors, uplifting and removal of existing floor covering will be charged for separately. Vinyl flooring can be fitted at an additional cost, and your floor may need a screed which we can arrange for you.

Prior to fitting, the customer should be responsible for the removal of the old carpet and the cleaning of the floor. Rooms should be cleared of as much furniture as possible. If this is not possible, a surcharge will be made to cover the cost of room preparation. This must be arranged in advance. In order to avoid damage, picture and ornaments should be put in a place of safety. Storage heaters should be switched off and allowed to cool before the carpet is fitted. Every care will be taken by the company’s fitters to avoid damage to cables and pipes. Unless fitters are advised of the exact location of pipes and cables, the company will accept no responsibility for damage done to them during fitting. Should doors require cutting or adjustment, this is the work of a qualified joiner. However, for the convenience of customers, our fitters will cut most interior doors, if requested for. All reasonable care will be taken when trimming doors and a charge will be made for this service. We reserve the right to refuse to cut or adjust doors at the discretion of the fitters.

There is no guarantee of colour or pattern match where joins in different widths have to be made. Every effort will be made to produce the best possible match, and this should be discussed with the carpet planner before fitting, at time of purchase.
